Nature coaching

Nature coaching is a process of discovery as we move through the natural world. We will explore your topic using nature as a metaphor. If, for example, your topic is improving a relationship at work, we may stop and look at the water.  

 

I may ask:  

  • What does flow look like to you? 

  • In what way are you creating flow in your relationships?

  • What would it look like to create more flow? 

 

In coaching and in nature, all parts are connected. Soul Sky Coaching offers nature coaching sessions in Maryland, Virginia, DC, and online. 

 

Our nature coaching sessions:

Every Soul Sky Coaching session is with Allyson Ger, who is a life coach certified
in yoga, mindfulness, and mental health first aid. We talk about the topic of your choice and what you hope to get out of the session. 

 

You get to choose the location that best suits your needs. Each session is typically one-hour, but can be longer if we’re doing an outdoor adventure. 

 

We can walk or hike in nature together. Being outside in nature and talking
through your pain points and aspirations can help shift you into more right-brained thinking, which may help you tap into your emotional, intuitive, and creative side.

  • Getting regular exercise

When moving the body, you are taking in oxygen, which releases endorphins. Endorphins help relieve pain, reduce stress and improve your sense of well-being.

 

  • Spending time in nature

Spending time in nature is linked to both cognitive benefits and improvements in mood, mental health and emotional well-being. When in nature, you are connected to something bigger, able to see a broader perspective, which allows for a healthier mindset and greater clarity. 

 

  • Stimulating your senses. 

When in nature, you engage with the sights, smells, and sounds around you. Sensory stimulation reduces anxiety and depression.

 

  • Improving physical and mental health
